Compare the Turtle Beach Ear Force x1 Headset to the X31 Wireless and X41 Wireless

The Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 Headset was a great invention and sprung off an entirely new way of playing with headsets don’t get me wrong, but the X1 just can’t keep up with the new models. Nobody thought that headsets were going to get much better than the new X31’s, but out of nowhere Turtle Beach released their monster headset called the X41 generation.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force X31 Wireless brought something huge that the X1’s just couldn’t compete with, almost like a secret weapon. Giving the X31’s the wireless feature gave them the upper hand on the wired X1’s and soon many gamers found themselves switching over to the 31’s. The X31 was as adjustable as the X11’s but decided to go back and keep the leather ear cups making it one of the most comfortable headsets on the market.

The X31 was thought to be the high point of Turtle Beach, but soon gamers were shocked to hear about yet another Headset called the X41. The Turtle Beach Ear Force X41 Wireless is the first headset ever to include Dolby 7.1 channel surround sound with a Dolby Pro Logic decoder, which expands the distance of which you hear in the game. Turtle Beach gave the headset a new look and feel from the other headsets and completely revolutionized the design.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 headset sparked a great line of headsets to the gaming market and helped gamers everywhere but with the X31 and X41 I’m afraid that everyone’s moved on to better headsets than the X1. I have tested all of the headsets and without a doubt the X3 and X4’s are the best headsets I’ve ever tried on in my life.

Compare the Turtle Beach Ear Force x1 Headset to the X11 Headset?

After releasing the Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 Headset, Turtle Beach decided to take it up a notch and improve on their headset. Thus the X11 generation of Turtle Beach Headsets was born. I’ve used and tested out the X11’s out myself and was quite impressed with what I saw and heard.

First off, the X11 is much more presentable and more high tech looking than the X1 version. When I first tried on the Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 I could instantly tell that the gameplay was much louder and the headset fit on my head much better than before. This edition of Turtle Beach also works with computers now, which is a task that the X1’s could not do.

The X11’s are the first generation to include a “Bass Boost” switch, which was soon used with every other Turtle Beach model after the X11. Bass boost allows the gamers to hear slightly better and definitely gives players the higher edge from all the other Turtle Beach users.

This generation of Turtle Beach headsets is also the first and only headset that is rechargeable, which is a very nice perk. Turtle Beach’s go through batteries like crazy so gamers were pleased to hear that a rechargeable headset was coming out on the market. By far the X11’s have sold way more pairs than any other Turtle Beach out today.

Turtle Beach Ear Force x1 Headset Review

The Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 Headset is the first of its generation and the first headset to take the sound from the gameplay and intertwine it with your microphone. I’ve own one of the X1 Headsets before and was amazed when I first used it, but after it broke I found that the other versions of the Turtle Beach headsets were a bit better.

This headset is very cheap, only costing sixty dollars and lasted for about a year before the microphone part broke off. It was very comfortable and the mic made my voice come in clear through the game with absolutely no lag at all. Another factor about the X1 headset that I liked is that it had two totally different volume switches. One controlled the volume of the gameplay, while the other switch controlled the mic volume.

Using the Turtle Beach I was able to turn down the volume on my TV all the way when I was playing Xbox, and was still able to hear the game play from the headset. The only problem was, since I had the gameplay blasting in my ears I never realized how loud I was talking so after a while I found myself shouting into the mic just to talk when it was unnecessary.

Some really great features that were presented in the X1, is that it’s very light weight and can be adjusted to about any head size. Even for a first generation I was surprised at how durable the Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 Headset was, and how effective sound in the gameplay was. With the X1 generation Turtle Beach I could still hear enemies walking up beside me and I could tell what was going on in the game without even looking.
